The study of High Intellectual Abilities configures a new field of knowledge, especially in our country. There are numerous myths and stereotypes that make it impossible to appreciate the phenomenon from a comprehensive perspective and applied both in the clinical and educational fields. There are multiple approaches that need to be understood in order to carry out effective interventions that can facilitate the development of potential in children with High Intellectual Abilities (ICA) in their daily contexts. The different views of international specialists on the subject will provide new tools and strategies for practical application in the professional field to delve into the unique characteristics that these boys and girls present.

Disability is considered a social problem today, which leads professionals from different disciplines to seek approaches and interventions that do not exhaust themselves in a single theoretical perspective or in reductionist positions.
On the other hand, people with high intellectual abilities (ACI) are different from others and, therefore, need specific and differentiated attention to achieve the development of their capacity or talent. Attention to diversity is an approach that encompasses the themes raised in this proposal, which is multi-determined and crossed by complexity, a paradigm that highlights the need for an active and interdisciplinary construction of the case by case.
